Polycom RealPresence Desktop is a professional software program for HD desktop video conferencing on a computer or laptop — without locking you into a ongoing subscription. Desktop supports HD video conferencing and content sharing using SIP and H.323. It is interoperable with other standards-based systems and endpoints. The lightweight application is quick to install, simple to setup and manage, and most importantly easy to use. It is available for both Windows and MacOS. Desktop works for two people with home offices or for an enterprise with up to 50,000 devices, and everywhere in between.
RealPresence Desktop supports common peripherals: built-in webcams, USB cameras, built-in microphones, USB headsets, and 3.5mm headsets. Because it's a Polycom product, you know Desktop offers best-in-class audio, including the unique MusicMode for accurate live music reproduction. It gives you enterprise-class noise reduction using Acoustic Fence and NoiseBlock. Automatic backlight compensation adapts your video to lighting conditions so you always look good. SmartPairing lets you pair a computer to a Polycom Group Series video conferencing system to share your display or act as a remote control for the Group system. Integrated presence support lets you know when colleagues are free to collaborate with you.
Download the software to a Windows or MacOS computer. Then register using one of these licenses, which enables Desktop for the lifetime of the device. The license is not transferable. It also gives you a one-year contract for Polycom Premier maintenance services. The licenses are delivered via email.
