Eight of the Netgear FS116P's available ports can supply industry-standard IEEE 802.3af power via PoE. Connecting IP-based devices to your network, such as surveillance cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points, can now be accomplished without costly installations.
Quiet, compact and power efficient, the Netgear FS116P is designed to save small businesses money. The ports automatically detect whether 802.3af-compliant devices are connected and determine the appropriate power to supply. When a PoE compliant device is disconnected, the Netgear FS116P shuts down power to that particular PoE port.
