Viking EV-1 helps make an elevator phone or emergency phone ADA compliant by adding a natural voice announcement that can communicate the location of the phone to emergency personnel. EV-1 records up to 10 seconds of audio in non-volatile memory, which it plays on a loop for the personnel to hear when a call is initiated; the personnel can start and stop the message by pressing * (asterisk). Record the audio message locally or using a touch-tone phone.
