Axis M4228-LVE is an outdoor-ready 4K Ultra HD surveillance camera with integrated audio sensor. M4228-LVE takes stunningly detailed 8 MP video using professional optics, including a varifocal lens that can be remotely zoomed and focused, ensuring you get the best shot. The camera has a built-in audio sensor and supports Axis Audio Analytics, which together enables the automatic detection and classification of specific sounds and sudden volume changes. This means that the camera can also send an alert in the event, for example, of the camera hearing glass breaking, so even if the camera isn't seeing the vandalism, an appropriate alert is still happening. On top of its audio performance, it provides first-class video performance, including video enhancement via Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0, plus no-light recording with its integrated OptimizedIR infrared lights.

M4228-LVE uses a purpose-built ARTPEC-8 System on a Chip to enable its audio/video quality, plus a whole host of pre-installed analytics applications. Object Analytics, for example, automatically classifies objects into actionable categories to greatly improve the usability of the video feed. With M4228-LVE, you also get Image Health Analytics, Scene Metadata, Live Privacy Shield, and Video Motion Detection. Axis Edge Vault protects the camera and camera system: a holistic cybersecurity solution integrated from the start of production. M4228-LVE is compact and discreet, and made for all-condition usage. It comes with a weathershield to protect the camera from sunshine, rain, and snow. It meets the IP66 and IK10 durability standards because of its polycarbonate hard-coated dome and robust casing. Store video in camera using a microSD card, or store and stream video through the network. Power the camera via PoE. Axis M4228-LVE is compliant with ONVIF Profiles G, M, S, and T for interoperability with third-party devices and systems.
