Axis P1488-LE is a ruggedized surveillance camera for outdoor video security in any lighting and in (virtually) and weather conditions. As a pro-grade security camera, P1488-LE uses a wide-angle varifocal lens to provide general coverage of open areas while letting you focus in for the most detailed shot. And detail is what it gives you: as a 4K Ultra HD camera for security, P1488-LE provides minute details that let you identify and act on what the camera sees and records. You can remote zoom and focus the lens. To reduce the effects of environmental vibrations, it uses electronic image stabilization. It improves image quality with Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR, and more. For no-light conditions, it has built-in OptimizedIR infrared lights.

P1488-LE uses the purpose-built ARTPEC-9 System on a Chip to drive advanced AI-powered features. It runs analytics on the edge, offloading processing and making full use of the detail that the camera produces without overloading your system. It comes with Object Analytics to automatically categorize objects, Image Health Analytics to ensure nothing is obstructing the camera, and more. Axis Edge Vault is a hardware-based cybersecurity solution that is integrated into the camera from the start of production. The SoC means P1488-LE supports ultra-efficient video compression standards: AV1 and H.265 (HEVC). Store video in camera using a microSD card or store/view video through the network using an NVR or NAS. P1488-LE is built for installation in extreme weather conditions: it handles extreme temperatures from -40°F to 140°F and winds up to 134 mph. To ensure it will always be running, it has redundant DC and PoE power inputs.
