Axis Q8642-E is a network-connected thermal positioning for surveillance in any weather or lighting condition. Q8642-E senses heat signatures in VGA resolution. The camera comes in a pan-tilt mount that moves it smoothly and quickly for coverage in all directions with 360° endless panning and a -90° to +45° tilting range. It features an athermalized lens with uncooled micro bolometer sensor. Native electronic image stabilization improves the picture quality. This model of Q8642-E takes VGA video at 8.3fps (frames per second).
Axis Q8642-E is IP66 rated with an extended operating temperature range for outdoor installation. The camera uses aluminum casing and germanium front window for incredible durability. Axis tested Q8642-E to withstand wind speeds of up to 106mph, still with full pan-tilt functionality. It also has built-in de-icing technology for heating the camera in extreme cold. Q8642-E offers RJ45 and SFP connectivity options, so you can use fiber for long-distance runs with copper Ethernet as a failover. Store video in camera using a microSD card or through the network using a NAS or NVR solution. Zipstream reduces network and storage load. Axis Q8642-E is ONVIF Profile G and Profile S compliant.
