Axis Q8742-E is a bispectral PTZ security camera that provides visual and thermal surveillance in one unit. It gives you two video streams at once and you only need a single IP address. Q8742-E is built for all-weather operation, including extreme cold and hurricane strength winds, in any lighting condition, including fog or smoke, because the thermal sensor senses body heat. The visual lens is a 4.3-129mm zoom lens with f/1.6-4.7 aperture to give you 30x optical zoom. In addition, it supports 360° endless panning and has a 135° tilting range. The thermal lens is an athermalized 35mm lens with f/1.2 aperture with a near focus distance of 108ft. The visual stream can be up to 1080p Full HD, giving you exceptionally detailed evidence. The thermal sensor in an uncooled micro bolometer sensor with 640x480 resolution, which can be upscaled to 800x600.
Axis Q8742-E comes with Axis WDR - Forensic Capture, the class-leading wide dynamic range technology that prevents high contrast lighting from causing sections of the video to be under- or overexposed. Axis Zipstream improves the efficiency of your video stream to reduce network and storage load. Axis Arctic Temperature Control enables start-up in extreme cold. The rugged aluminum casing is IP66 and IK10 rated. The camera comes with a long-lasting silicone wiper and high-impact weathershield. Q8742-E has an SFP slot for an SFP module (not included) for long-distance fiber optic connectivity. Store video through the network or locally using a microSD card. Q8742-E is ONVIF Profile S and Profile G compliant.
