Cisco SPA501G is an eight-line VoIP phone, ideal as a user-friendly telephony device. Deploy this phone for less-frequent phone users, for example, with cubicle workers or maybe in a common area such as a hallway. The Cisco SPA501G phone includes a 2.5mm headset jack and dual Ethernet ports.

This Cisco SPA500 series phone is interoperable with SIP and Cisco's proprietary SPCP protocol. Includes wideband audio support for high-quality voice performance. Paper inserts let you customize the labels for buttons on the phone's interface. This phone is also expandable to support more features and functions.

This Cisco 8 line, no display phone is being used in a factory environment. The buttons have been programmed for direct dialing of important numbers. We wanted basic features on a reliable phone. The voice quality is pretty good, and the entire phone has a solid feel. Some phones need to be wall mounted, the wall mount bracket seems expensive for what it is but is needed to mount. We are using this phone now instead of Grandstream because of the 3CX support.

As an older guy from a telecomm background, I can appreciate a major Fortune 500 company producing a phone that is this inexpensive. That said, it probably isn't a good phone for anyone that will actively be using the phone regularly. I bought one for our part time accountant, but after playing with it and comparing it to a 504, I upgraded them to a 504. A bargain, but for a few dollars more, the 504 is a much, much better deal.
