Digium AEX2442E is a modular telephony card that connects analog phone lines and analog station devices to Asterisk-based IP phone systems. This model combines an AEX2400 base card with four S400M FXS modules, two X400M FXO modules, and a VPMOCT032 echo-cancellation module. The card is a cost-effective and scalable solution for reducing infrastructure like gateways, while integrating analog phones and lines with your VoIP system.

Digium AEX2400 is a base card with room for six FXO/FXS modules in total, so you can add further FXO or FXS port modules to customize the card to fit your phone system. It is a full-length PCI Express card. Digium S400M is a quad FXS module that provides four station line interfaces to connect to analog devices. Digium X400M is a quad FXO module that provides four trunk line interfaces to connect to the PSTN. Digium VPMOCT032 is a hardware echo-cancelling module that is G.168 compliant.
