Poly ATA 402 is an analog telephone adapter (ATA) with two FXS ports. Use ATA 402 to integrate touch-tone devices, including phones and fax machines, into a VoIP phone system. Connect the analog devices to the adapter’s FXS ports, then connect the adapter to your network using the LAN port. ATA 402 has a second Ethernet port for a wired connection to a computer. It also has a USB-A port that you can use to enable wireless network connectivity via a Poly OBiWiFi5G Wi-Fi Adapter (not included). By using ATA 402, you can extend the lifetime of existing and legacy equipment, bringing them into a modern VoIP ecosystem.
As a VoIP adapter, ATA 402 supports the open SIP protocol, which means that it’s interoperable with an extensive range of VoIP phone systems and cloud phone services. It supports up to four SIP accounts. ATA 402 uses an Automatic Attendant to simplify call routing. The adapter supports extensive telephony features, including three-way conference calls, message waiting indication, caller ID, and many more. ATA 402 supports Fax Over IP.
