Talkaphone AOR-8 8-Channel Area of Refuge Command Unit

Talkaphone AOR-8 is a command unit for up to 8 area of refuge emergency phones with integrated strobe light and siren, providing a highly reliable ADA-compliant system for emergency communications. AOR-8 connects all the emergency phones to the PBX, meaning you only need to run a single standard POTS phone line from the command unit to the PBX, simplifying your infrastructure. AOR-8 also provides power to all the connected phones. It has a built-in UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to provide power for all devices in the event of a power outage. The command unit has a built-in local phone. The status of all lines are clearly displayed using LED lights.

Talkaphone AOR-8 comes with a strobe/siren unit. When a call comes into the command unit, the siren automatically turns on. It turns off when the call is answered. The strobe is active from the time the call comes into the command unit until the call is finished. This makes AOR-8 highly visible and audible even in loud situations like factories or subway stations. The unit continuously monitors the integrity of the ground, shorts, and opens to ensure proper functioning, alerting via LED and sound if something amiss is detected. AOR-8's box is made from 16 gauge steel and has a clear acrylic window over the display.
