Axis P1280-E is an affordable, indoor/outdoor thermal camera that maintains both security and privacy. P1280-E comprises an Axis FA1080 Thermal Sensor Unit and an Axis P12 Mk II Main Unit. Axis provides a 39ft (12m) cable in the package to connect the two units.
The P1280-E's modularity gives you incredible flexibility for installing camera where it's needed most. The sensor unit is very small, measuring less than an inch-and-a-half in circumference, so you can mount it discreetly. Look at the product images on this page to see the FA1080 sensor unit installed in a variety of official Axis mounts. The Axis F8201 vari-angle mounting bracket is included in the package. The main unit can be installed somewhere safe and out of sight. Store video either through network-attached storage or locally using a microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC card.
Axis P1280-E provides 208x156 thermal imagery. Intended less for detailed video evidence and more for accurate alarms, P1280-E senses heat signatures, so it works in almost any condition, even dense fog or pitch-black nighttime. Thermal cameras are especially useful in maintaining both security and privacy, for example in hospitals or schools. You see intruders while respecting the identity of patients or students. The Axis FA1080 sensor unit is IP67-rated and is cased in aluminum. The camera is a PoE device and is ONVIF S and G compliant.
