Cisco 8821 is a rugged, secure, wireless extension handset that is IP67 rated for protection from dust, splash and water and MIL-STD-810G tested for shock resistance. Perfect for demanding circumstances like industrial, health care, manufacturing and retail, the 8821 allows users to roam while keeping connected via the wireless network (VoWLAN): it supports WiFi protocols up to 802.11ac. It runs the SIP communications protocol as part of your Cisco Unified Communications Manager system. Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 support allows you to use a compatible wireless headset for hands-free roaming. The improved 2.4" 240x320 px color display makes action selection simple and gives you a UI consistent with the rest of the Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series.
Cisco 8821 keeps your wireless communications secure. It supports numerous enterprise authentication and encryption standards, including WPA 1 and 2, Personal and Enterprise, TLS, AES, 128-bit WEP, and more. Use the Secure Hash Algorithm 1 or 2 (SHA-1 or SHA-2) for strongly encrypted certificate management. Support for the Fast Transition 802.11r protocol and Cisco Centralized Key Management means you'll have more stable and secure calls even when passing from one access point to the next. And the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) makes administering your phones simpler. All this in a device that weighs a mere 5.7 ounces.
