Polycom RealPresence Desktop makes a computer or laptop into an HD desktop video conferencing device without locking you into a subscription. Desktop is a software program that provides HD video conferencing and content sharing. Simple to setup, it is a clear, easy to use application for Windows or MacOS. Desktop supports both SIP and H.323, making it compatible with other standards-based systems and endpoints. It works for two people with home offices or for an enterprise with up to 50,000 devices, and everywhere in between.
Desktop supports built-in webcams or USB cameras for sending HD video. For audio, you can use a USB or 3.5mm headset or your computer's microphone. Because it's a Polycom product, you know it supports best-in-class audio, including MusicMode for accurate live music reproduction. Acoustic Fence reduces background noise and NoiseBlock further clarifies audio. Automatic backlight compensation adapts to poor lighting conditions. Pair your computer with a Polycom Group Series system using SmartPairing to share your display or act as the Group system's remote control. Presence lets you know when your colleague is free.
Download the software to a Windows or MacOS computer. Then register using one of these licenses, which enables Desktop for the lifetime of the device. It also gives you a one-year contract with Polycom Premier maintenance services. The licenses are delivered via email. They are not transferable.
