Axis M4348-PLVE is a high-resolution, single-lens panoramic camera with intelligent, AI-enhanced audio and video analytics functionality. Designed for indoor or outdoor installation, M4348-PLVE uses a 1.7 mm stereographic fisheye lens for 180° or 360° area coverage; its improved camera sensor technology means you get up to 30% higher resolution than previous generations. It provides surveillance video at up 3536 x 3536 px resolution — incredible detail. M4348-PLVE is powered by the purpose-engineered ARTPEC-9 System on a Chip. This chip improves performance and enables AI-based solutions. For example, M4348-PLVE uses AI models trained directly for 360° fisheye video; you get camera-side dewarped views. When combined with its Sharpdome 360 cover, which enables optimal image quality across the fisheye camera's entire field of view, including at the corners, it means you get exquisitely detailed 360° video with no blind spots.

M4348-PLVE supports Audio Analytics. The camera has a built-in microphone that monitors the surrounding environment. When it detects critical sounds like glass breaking or shouting, it can point staff directly to the sound's origin via directional audio detection. Audio Analytics isn't the only AI-based solution it offers; it also comes with numerous video analytics applications. Axis Object Analytics classifies objects (humans, vehicles, types of vehicles) across a range of scenarios with great accuracy. Axis Image Health Analytics monitors the camera's performance for signs of tampering or image degradation so you will always know when the camera is functioning optimally. Axis Scene Metadata improves how searchable and usable your video evidence is while also providing actionable insights via intelligent scene analysis.
