What’s the Difference Between the Yealink MVC640 and MVC500 II?

The Yealink video conferencing system portfolio has just expanded and we are here to tell you everything you need to know before making your decision to invest in one of these systems.

The MVC640 is an easy-to-use, easy-to-setup all-in-one conferencing system that is Microsoft Teams Certified. This full-scene video conference solution is perfect for your medium-sized rooms.

A feature we would like to highlight in the MVC640 package is the UVC84 camera which brings Yealink’s latest technology to your conference room with 4K Ultra HD video output for sublime sharpness. With built-in 12x optical zoom and 3x digital zoom, you’ll be able to see everything down to facial expressions as if you were in the room. The UVC84 does this all with mechanical pan-tilt-zoom, allowing the camera to auto frame the subject so you will get true to life communications.

Another difference between these two systems is the speaker. The MVC640 features the MSpeech, a contemporary smart USB speakerphone. Instead of a soundbar and microphone in the MVC500 packages, the MSpeech is the audio input/output device making setting this system up that much easier. A 2-meter cable and 20-foot pickup range make this is the perfect speaker for your medium-sized room and with Optima HD voice, full-duplex, and Acoustic Echo Cancelation you can be sure that everyone in the meeting will be able to hear and be heard clearly.

MVC640 vs MVC 500 II

The MVC500 II was a popular, all-in-one Certified Microsoft Teams video conferencing system for small to medium-sized rooms that came with wired and wireless options. This popular video conferencing solution considered aesthetics and practicality as well as it being flexible and reliable in deployments when it was being developed. With a familiar and user-friendly interface, the MVC500 was easy for anyone in the office to learn and operate.

The MVC500 II was sold as two different bundles: wired and wireless. The difference between these two systems was the microphones that were included. The wireless system featured two CPW90 wireless microphones whereas with the wired set up the package included one Yealink VCM34 microphone array.
