EnGenius DuraFon-SIP Long-Range Cordless IP Base Station

The EnGenius DuraFon-SIP Base Station connects a DuraFon handset to either your LAN for VoIP communication or to the PSTN: it has ports for both. VoIP communication is handled using the open SIP protocol, which gives the DuraFon-SIP broad interoperability among standards-following manufacturers. The base station communicates with the handset using a custom 900 MHz protocol that is secure and provides an exceptionally long range: 250,000 square feet indoors and 3,000 acres outdoors with 12 floors of wireless signal penetration. Roaming has never been so carefree!

This base station is an expansion and requires a handset. It can be used either as a repeater or as a base station in itself, giving the DuraFon-SIP incredible flexibility and scalability. The DuraFon base station controls 4 simultaneous calls and 10 SIP accounts. Because EnGenius uses the 902-928 MHz frequency range, the DuraFon is ideal for spaces with WiFi: the phone traffic will not interfere with internet traffic without you having to mess around with any QoS settings.
