Although PoE (Power Over Ethernet) is the recommended method for powering VoIP phones in a business setting, not all VoIP phones support PoE. We wrote a blog on

Phones that don’t support PoE must be powered with an AC adapter. For example,
Grandstream GRP2612 doesn’t support PoE so it comes with an AC adapter. For
Poly makes phones that are certified to work with Microsoft Teams, including the CCX Microsoft Teams series of phones — not to be confused with the CCX Open SIP Edition phones.
