Axis P3947-R provides a simple, highly effective solution for HD camera surveillance in trains, trams, and similar vehicles and rolling stock. Intended for indoor installation, P3947-R takes 5 MP video — better than twice the resolution of 1080p Full HD cameras. This model has a wide-angle 2.8 mm lens and RJ45 connector. P3947-R can take 5 MP video at 30 fps; for fast-movement scenarios, it can take up to 1080p Full HD video at 60 fps. The camera has a built-in microphone for audio pickup — an extra layer of security. P3947-R complies with transportation industry regulations like EN 50155 and EN 45545, and meets numerous durability standards, including the IP66/67 and IK10 Ratings.

P3947-R is a powerful, AI-enhanced camera. Lightfinder 2.0 delivers true colors in extreme low-light and Forensic WDR retains vital detail in high-contrast lighting scenarios. Axis has developed a range of scene profiles to let you easily adjust image quality to suit the specific use-case, including forensic, vivid, and traffic overview. Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform, protects the camera; it includes FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and more. P3947-R supports in-camera recording using a microSD card. It matches earlier Axis onboard cameras in form-factor, backplate, and accessories, so it is simple to upgrade to this improved model with integrated audio and more.

Note: Axis P3947-R is available in four variants: with either a 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm lens, and with either an RJ45 or M12 connector. This model, Axis 03378-001, has a 2.8 mm lens and RJ45 connector.
